ABOUT
An inherited instinct, honed across a decade spent living across the European continent and inhabiting its old-world traditions, led naturally to a design style characterized by classical, traditional silhouettes, pattern deployed with confidence, and colour handled without hesitation.
Time spent wandering cobbled streets, passing through world-renowned antique markets, and touring centuries-old country houses — one of them, eventually, home — became her real design education.
Long before turning her full attention to interiors, Deirdre spent a decade as a leading creative director and educator. A distinctive taste for design has run through her work from the very beginning.
Canadian by birth, she's now settled into a historic 1875 villa in the Swiss countryside — by way of the American South, a marriage to a German, and London's Chelsea.
Deirdre adores clients with a maximalist sensibility — those who share her own love of pattern, colour, and English country house style.
Switzerland has become an integral part of the studio's story too. Originally drawn there by a shared love of skiing with her husband, it led to a second design specialty:
Swiss ski chalets, particularly for international clientele, designed to hold the kind of memories a family creates, season after season.
